On 4th June, an 'elite' team of Old Rannochites will be leaving the lochs and munros of Scotland far behind and taking on the hills and heat of the Balearic island of Menorca.

Hard (Richard Pool), Nog (Martin Allison), Wiggers (Harry Wigram), Rozza (Rory Slater), Toots (Tom Tootal) and Mowgli (Tim Neill) are being joined by Theo's dad, Dan and Theo's godfather, Richo (Alexander Richardson) to run just under 30 miles from the wes...t to east coast of Menorca (Ciutadella to Mahon) in order to raise money for the Theo Walker Fund (www.theowalkerfund.com).

Longer and hotter than the London Marathon, this is a huge challenge for the team, who are more 'Dirty Half-dozen' (plus a couple!) than London 2012 hopefuls! We have Hard to thank and blame for this challenge. It is 100% his idea, but Theo's Fund's are incredibly grateful to all the guys for the time and energy they are investing to complete this event.

The Theo Walker Fund was established by Lucy and Dan Walker following the death of their son, Theo, from a congenital heart condition in December 2009. Theo's Fund raises and distributes all money raised to charities that help children battling with life-threatening and terminal conditions. Please visit www.theowalkerfund.com to read Dan and Lucy's amazingly inspirational story and also to see the good that they have and continue to do, by supporting the Charities that helped them and others through some very difficult times. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this.
