Black light is delighted to announce their sponsorship of Visible Fictions and their Spring 2007 tour of 'The Rise & Fall of Little Voice' by Jim Cartwright, a co-production with the Scottish Touring Theatres Consortium.

Visible Fictions is one of Scotland’s leading theatre companies and has an international reputation for creating high quality, accessible theatre experiences for young people and adults alike which entertain, inspire, challenge and excite.

Black light is passionate about Scottish theatre – this is where it all began for Gavin Stewart – and the company was thrilled to have the opportunity to support this tour of Scottish venues. Black light will be helping Visible Fictions with in-kind lighting equipment and advice. Artistic Producer Dougie Irvine said "This will be the first Scottish tour of the original, smash-hit play that inspired the 90’s Oscar nominated feature film. It’s a fantastic challenge to create a touring production of this play for small and mid-scale venues and the support of black light is invaluable in helping us achieve this. We are all really looking forward to working with the team at black light."

Quote from Gavin

"This is a great production to work on together. We really wanted to support the Scottish theatre sector through sponsorship and this touring production was an ideal opportunity. The play was winner of the Evening Standard Best Comedy Award and the Olivier Award for Best Comedy and we are looking forward to some good nights out with staff and clients."
